CWT Journal – August 9, 2026 / Nice

We were all a little slow moving this morning after last night's toga party—a true Roman bacchanal complete with dancing, great food, and plenty of laughs. It was the perfect sendoff for our incredible Race2Adventure group and a memorable way to celebrate an unforgettable week together.

After saying goodbye to the S.S. Catherine, we began the drive to Nice, stopping in Cannes for a quick bite before continuing along the beautiful Côte d'Azur. By evening we arrived in Nice, grabbed dinner, and settled into our apartment. It wasn't exactly five-star luxury, but after a week of adventure, racing, and long medical days, all we really wanted was a shower, a bed, and a good night's sleep.
