CWT Journal – August 6, 2026 / Avignon

Today's Race2Adventure course at Pont d'Arc was as tough as it was beautiful. The runners finished beneath the spectacular natural arch, where McLaren stole the show by launching herself off a huge cliff into the river—over and over again.

The medical team stayed busy, treating a heat casualty and giving one exhausted runner a first-class piggyback ride back to the bus. After arriving in Avignon, Dad took yesterday's facial trauma patient back to the ER when her concussion symptoms worsened. He got back to the ship late, with the CT results still pending...to be continued.

The day ended on a lighter note with a hilarious Uber ride where Dad and the driver somehow held a conversation using English, French, Spanish, Russian, and even a little Latin. Proof that if all else fails, just keep changing languages until something works!
