CWT Journal – August 4, 2026 / Lake Annecy

We woke up in Mâcon and boarded a bus for one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen—Lake Annecy. Surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water and the French Alps, we spent the morning pedaling a boat across the lake before wandering the charming streets of Annecy's Old Town. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch along the canals, soaking in the scenery that has earned Annecy the nickname "The Venice of the Alps." Back aboard the S.S. Catherine, the evening took a festive turn with a champagne sabering demonstration, followed by a hilarious silent disco where everyone danced to their own music. It was the perfect blend of peaceful beauty and unforgettable fun.
