Kayaking / September 10, 2026 / Calanques, South of France

Yesterday I went kayaking. It was so, so fun. I saw so many beautiful things, like the cliffs with vibrant trees growing out of them. I saw the navy and turquoise water. I saw caves and starfish.

Then after kayaking for a while, we stopped at a small beach to rest, but we didn’t get out of our kayaks. Then we saw a big red and orange starfish. We then kept going. We kayaked some more and then stopped at an even better beach.

We got out and ate our sandwiches. My sister and I then laid out and warmed up. After a while of that, we looked for sea glass and found like 10 pieces!

After we left and were on our way back, we kayaked to an area of the ocean where our guide told us that we were above a cave with cave paintings! We went on through the rough waves. We went up and down. It felt like a small roller coaster. We raced back to the end, and I won!
