CWT Journal – August 20, 2026 / Oceanogràfic Valencia

Today we explored Oceanogràfic Valencia, the largest aquarium in Europe. We wandered through enormous exhibits filled with jellyfish, beluga whales, giant tortoises, sharks, penguins, stingrays, and sea lions—a spectacular collection of creatures from around the world.

One exhibit followed Charles Darwin's voyage aboard the HMS Beagle, which gave us a perfect connection to our own journey. Darwin visited the Galápagos Islands in 1835, and his observations there helped shape the ideas that would eventually become his theory of evolution by natural selection. Knowing that we'll be walking those same islands later on the CWT made the exhibit particularly exciting and gave us plenty to talk about as a family.

Afterward, we enjoyed a rare relaxing evening at home and caught up on two episodes of The Rings of Power.
